The Africa Resource Center for Excellence in Supply Chain Management provides supply chain expertise, financing, and innovative solutions to improve public health outcomes.
Who We Are
ARC_ESM operates as a resource platform that brokers and matches the supply of talent, financing, technical expertise, best practices, tools, and training from the private sector, academia, professional associations, and implementing partners to the demand from Ministries of Health and development partners.
This approach supports government-led, large-scale supply chain transformation efforts across Nigeria. ARC_ESM has been operational in Nigeria since June 2020.
In February 2021, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation engaged ARC_ESM to support ten states to strengthen public health supply chain performance in alignment with the National Health Supply Chain Strategic and Implementation Plan 2021-2025.
Through this engagement and subsequent extensions, ARC_ESM has supported institutional reform, establishment and strengthening of Drug Management Agencies, governance improvements, capacity building, and public-private partnership models.
